We found out on November 3, 2011 at 5:00am.
It was confirmed 2 days later with a blood test. I found a new doctor/midwife team that I absolutely love. Because of my history, they had me get an early viability ultrasound at 6 weeks. Because, they it was a last minute appointment, Ryan wasn't with me the first time I got to see the baby and the heartbeat. I could barely breathe as the ultrasound tech was preparing to get the images. But then, I saw my baby! He/She was an 1/8 inch long, about the size of a lentil. I left with images that were magnified and got to share them with Ryan when he got home! We only told our close family and best friends about the pregnancy at that point, and it actually got easier to keep it a secret.
Magnified
I spent the next 4 weeks with all day morning sickness. It was seriously like having the flu for a month straight. I did nothing but work at night and lay in bed for the entire rest of the day. I did manage to get in some 8 week pictures!
At my 10 week appointment, I got to hear the heartbeat with a doppler! Since then, we've borrowed Ryan's cousin's doppler and we periodically listen to our baby.
At 12 weeks, Ryan took some more pictures.
Today was was our next ultrasound at 12 weeks 3 days. I am measuring at 13 weeks. We took a quick picture before heading off to the doctor's office today!
Today was the second time I got to see the baby through ultrasound, but it was Ryan's first time. It was amazing to see how much the baby has grown since 6 weeks ago! We left with one image of the baby, but we got to see so much, including a shot of the baby's feet from the bottom! Here's the image that we got.
